Our Approach

THE APPROACH

We’ve spent decades in the highest-pressure environments. Here’s what we learned.

From special operations to the C-suite, the leaders and teams that perform when it matters most share one characteristic: they adapt. Not because they were born that way — but because they built that capacity intentionally.

That’s the work we do. And it’s grounded in science, not intuition.

A woman with curly blonde hair smiling at the camera, standing next to a whiteboard with handwritten notes and colorful sticky notes, in an indoor setting.
A person with curly blonde hair holding a small brown and white dog on their lap at a cluttered wooden desk. The desk has a black laptop, scattered papers, sticky notes, highlighters, a pen, a red mug, a green bottle, and some colorful paper clips.

THE PROBLEM WITH MOST APPROACHES

Most leadership development doesn’t work. Here’s why.

Organizations invest billions in leadership development every year. Most of it doesn’t stick. Not because the content is wrong — but because it’s delivered without diagnosis, without context, and without the follow-through required for real change.

A training program without assessment is a guess. An assessment without a coach is a report that sits in a drawer. A coach without organizational context is treating symptoms without understanding the system.

We do all three — integrated, sequenced, and built around what you’re actually navigating.

HOW WE WORK

Every engagement is different. The process is not.

Step 1: Understand

We start by listening. What’s happening, why it matters now, what’s been tried, and what success looks like. No assumptions, no off-the-shelf solutions.

Step 2: Assess

We select and deploy the right diagnostic tools — individual, team, or organizational — to get a clear, data-driven picture of what’s actually going on.

Step 3: Intervene

We design and deliver an intervention that fits — coaching, development, facilitation, consulting, or some combination. Built for your context, not borrowed from someone else’s.

Step 4: Sustain

We stay in it. Real change takes time and follow-through. We build accountability into every engagement so the work sticks.

THE SCIENCE

Adaptability isn’t a soft skill. It’s a measurable capacity.

AQai is the world’s first and only scientifically validated assessment of individual adaptability — measuring 15 dimensions across abilities, character, and environment. It gives us a precise picture of how a leader or team responds to change, uncertainty, and pressure.

But AQai is one tool in a broader toolkit. Depending on what you’re navigating, we may also use:

Hogan — for leadership derailers and reputation under pressure

EQ-i — for emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness

TCI — for temperament, character, and values alignment

360-Degree Feedback — for leadership impact as seen by others

The conversation comes before the assessment. We don’t lead with a tool — we lead with your situation.
